Site work for a mixed-use development in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and transportation facility.

Project The intent of this Contract is to provide for the installation and completion, in every aspect, of the replacement of 39 analog video surveillance cameras at the MBTA Silver Line Tunnel and South Station. Cameras on the South Station Silver Line platform. Question Deadline 01/07/2025 at 2:00 PM ET Online - Q&A Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. SCOPE OF WORK A. All work shall be done according to the applicable Federal, State and local codes as well as all applicable industry standards. Where there is any conflict between codes, specifications, plans, etc., it is the Contractor's responsibility to bring it to the MBTA's attention for clarification and direction. Upon bringing it to the MBTA's attention, the Contractor shall also provide a proposed solution. B. In accordance with these specifications, the Contractor shall submit for review and approval detailed installation plans for all cameras and equipment to be installed as part of this Contract. Installation plan shall include proposed work crew size, test equipment, tools, and timeframe. For this function, the Contractor may markup existing MBTA drawings, or if none exist create new drawings for this purpose. C. The Contractor shall work with the MBTA Security and Emergency Management Department for the procurement, installation, programming, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of the new IP based video surveillance system, and the disposal of the legacy cameras and associated equipment and cabling. D. The current-technology new and unused IP cameras, camera enclosures, fiber optic media converters, and associated hardware shall be of the types indicted herein and on the Contract Drawings. Install equipment per manufacturer's recommendations at locations shown on the Contract Drawings. Contractor to coordinate each new camera field of view with the MBTA. E. Existing items to be removed shall include, but are not limited to, cameras, mounts, back boxes, coaxial cables, data cables, power supplies, power cables, enclosures, junction boxes, encoders, fiber optic to coax media converters and analog video encoders. This shall include pre-existing obsolete items. All items to be disposed of shall be recycled or properly disposed of offsite by the Contractor. Ensure all unique MBTA markings, information, and labelling is removed before disposal. Any SD cards shall be returned to the MBTA. All obsolete cable shall be removed to the source. F. At locations where encoders will remain in service, consolidate camera cables to utilize the least amount of modules. Disconnect any unused modules and leave in the chassis as spare. Update MBTA Genetec and documentation to reflect any changes made at the encoder. Legacy Analog Camera Replacement Project 2024 SUMMARY OF WORK 01010 - 4 G. Prior to installing new equipment in a cabinet or equipment rack, the Contractor shall clean and vacuum the cabinet interior, exterior, remaining in service equipment, cables, panels, etc. H. The Contractor shall conduct complete acceptance tests and certify all cameras, equipment, wiring, and terminations are installed and complete. The Contractor shall develop all test plans, procedures, prefilled test data sheets, etc., for use during testing and certification. Submit all documentation to the MBTA for review and approval prior to scheduling of acceptance testing. The Contractor shall also perform pretests, within their capabilities, prior to MBTA acceptance testing. The Contractor shall submit summary documentation of pretest results and confirmation that they are prepared for the acceptance testing, or the documentation shall list the problems that they must correct and a course of action. A pretest report template shall be submitted and approved prior to any pretesting occurring. If the Contractor is found to have falsified testing documentation and/or the system exhibits failures beyond a reasonable margin, then the MBTA reserves the right to charge the Contractor for any and all costs of MBTA support staff and witnesses present during the testing. Falsification of test documentation shall also be reason for dismissal of future bids on MBTA projects. The Contractor shall pretest all systems to ensure that all controls, alarms, views, and actions are properly displayed and functioning through the Genetec system without false positives or false negatives. I. The Contractor shall coordinate with, and through, the MBTA Project Office for all work on this project. At no time shall the Contractor enter MBTA facilities, or utilize the services of MBTA staff, without prior approval and coordination. J. The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating all right-of-way access and entering all day and night order requests through the MBTA's Knack website. Requests must be entered into Knack prior to the weekly right-of-way access call. Contractor shall plan on attending right-of-way access calls to verify approval for access (calls last approximately 90 minutes). K. The Contractor shall be responsible for all camera and Genetec programming, licensing, testing, and adjustments in coordination with the MBTA prior to project completion and project acceptance. L. The Contractor shall limit device downtime to 2 days during camera replacements. New IP cameras shall be installed, connected and operational within 2 days after removal of legacy analog camera, unless prior approval is granted by the MBTA for additional downtime. M. The Contractor shall review legacy camera icons, maps, and Events to Action in Genetec before removing any legacy cameras. N. The Contractor shall add all new camera locations and icons onto the Genetec maps. O. The Contractor shall program camera Events to Action for each new camera installed in Genetec. P. The Contractor shall label each new enclosure, patch panel, camera, port, media converter and network switch per requirements in Specification Section 16840. Q. Where possible and if in suitable condition, the Contractor may utilize the existing camera enclosures. Use of existing equipment and infrastructure shall be at the
