Site work, new construction and renovation of a restaurant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the construction of a restaurant; for the renovation of a restaurant; and for site work for a restaurant.
The project consists of a renovation to an existing bar and cafe space to increase point of sale locations and update the food service equipment. The scope includes new finishes, building of a new storage space, additional merchandise display, and new equipment. Lighting, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems are all updated within the scope of work to meet the needs of the equipment and design. The project also increases natural light to the space by adding storefront in the existing exterior wall. The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 USC && 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders or offerors that it will affirmatively ensure that for any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and no businesses will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency), creed, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), age, or disability in consideration for an award. The DBE participation goal for this contract is 0% in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. Each bid must be by a contractor licensed in Tennessee and accompanied by a 5% Bid Guarantee. In accordance with TCA &62-6-119, the Bidder, and where applicable, one contractor/subcontractor performing a trade meeting or exceeding the dollar value specified by law, must have its license number, expiration date of the license, and the classification applying to the bid shown on the outside of the envelope containing the bid. Failure to supply all information on the outside of the envelope will result in the return of the unopened envelope to the Bidder. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. Liquidated damages for delay in contract completion shall be as stated in the Contract Documents. No Bidder may withdraw an opened bid within the defined period following actual bid opening without CMAA's consent. Award will be made to the lowest responsive qualified Bidder, if awarded. If awarded, this project will be funded through federal grants, revenue bond proceeds and CMAA funding. The CMAA reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities, technicalities or omissions therein. The CMAA also reserves the right to reject any bids from Bidders who have claims or litigation pending against the CMAA and to reject the bid when a parent, subsidiary, affiliate, or predecessor in interest of the Bidder has claims or litigation pending against the CMAA when the CMAA determines such claims or litigation may adversely affect the ability of the CMAA to work efficiently and effectively with the contractor, or adversely affect the ability of the contractor to perform under the contract.
