The New York State Office of General Services Design & Construction (OGS D&C) intends to contract with one (1) firm to provide consulting, design, and engineering services for concrete and related structural repairs, and ongoing water infiltration issues at various OGS locations Statewide. The firm must possess a strong structural engineering background as assigned tasks will primarily be in this area of expertise. Other tasks may also include architectural, civil/site engineering, mechanical, and electrical, engineering. The majority of projects will involve the rehabilitation of existing facilities. Question Deadline 01/08/2025 at 2:00 PM ET Term: Five (5) Years (Three (3) years to assign new work + two (2) additional years to complete assignments) MBE Goal: 15% WBE Goal: 15% SDVOB Goal: 6% Approximate Value: $4,000,000.00 Firms are expected to provide high-quality engineering services that may include, but not limited to, forensic investigations/field survey, materials testing, studies, estimating, complete design, drawings, specifications, bid phase, and construction administration/support activities to provide: Demolition of existing roadways/slabs/framing systems; selective demolition of existing building slab/framing systems. Replacement/repair of water infiltration areas, and solutions for mitigating water infiltration and compromised drainage systems. Replacement/repair of structural systems, and concrete deterioration to provide structural integrity. Replacement of existing building and roadway expansion joints. Removal/replacement of existing building Heating/Cooling, Electrical/Heat Tracing and Plumbing/Sprinkler systems in need of repair and/or for access to concrete repair work areas. Removal/replacement of under-roadway subgrade materials, building slab waterproofing, and insulation. Resurfacing of pavement areas and roadways. Restoration of existing building/structures, pavement areas, and roadways including painted markings, and signage. Temporary means of ingress/egress for building access, traffic flow/detour plans including signage, temporary parking, and traffic flow/detour plans to be coordinated with and approved by Director's Representative. Compliance with the latest building codes and regulatory requirements including review of work done by others for compliance with applicable codes. Application of energy efficiency and sustainability in compliance with the Governor's Executive Order 22. A minor requirement of mechanical and electrical engineering, civil/site engineering, architecture, and protection/fire alarm engineering, Projects that require expedited design schedules and services including emergency projects that require immediate attention or attention within 24 hours. The firm will be required to be available to provide on-site inspection, consultation, design services, and coordination with OGS and facility staff. Firms must provide an emergency contact person responsible for emergencies. Project types (JOCS, M, and Q) intended to be expedited for quick response contracting to address priority and urgent needs with expectations for project completion in as short as four (4) weeks' time. Hazardous material investigation and design services for the remediation/removal of such materials as part of the work of this contract. Possible construction management and/or construction inspection services as advisor to the owner. Services can be provided by the proposed design team including sub-consultants.
