Reference Number 0000371174 Furnish and install 2x Vertical Platform Lifts at the Westside Community Center, located at 1628 W Bijou St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904. Contractor must permit these installations with the Regional Building Department and coordinate with the general contractor for install. One lift must be a portable unit. In an effort to improve the accessibility of the Westside Community Center, the City of Colorado Springs has engaged a general contractor to perform renovations to the facility. The general contractor will prepare a site within the building for the installation of a vertical platform lift (see attached drawings) that will provide an interior accessible route between the upper and lower portions of the building. A second lift will provide access to the stage within the community center to allow full community participation. The objective of this solicitation is to identify the vendor that will supply and install these lifts. Scope The City of Colorado Springs has engaged a general contractor who will perform the work "by others" required in anticipation of installation of these lifts. The general contractor will perform site specific demolition and construction, provide electrical, new fascia, etc. in advance of the delivery and installation of the vertical platform lifts. The successful contractor will be expected to closely coordinate with the City, facility staff, and the general contractor to ensure that requirements for the lifts are fulfilled ahead of permitting, installation, and inspection.
