**As of February 20, 2025, project was awarded to Coastwide Environmental , awarded amount is $426,028.90.** Location: Three campuses within San Lorenzo Unified School District, including San Lorenzo High School, Edendale Middle School, and Colonial Acres Elementary School. San Lorenzo Unified School District (SLZUSD) is embarking on a major upgrade to the heating and cooling systems at four campuses: San Lorenzo High School, Edendale Middle School, and Colonial Acres Elementary School. This project involves removing outdated gas furnaces and the old boiler system at San Lorenzo High School, among other updates. To identify areas with potential lead and/or asbestoscontaining materials (ACMs), SLZUSD has engaged Hazmat Doc to perform an extensive survey and sampling. To ensure the safe and compliant removal of hazardous materials, SLZUSD is seeking licensed abatement contractors to handle the abatement and removal of these materials in areas impacted by demolition or new system installations according to the project plans and specifications. Please note that the removal of the actual heating and cooling units will be carried out by others; under this agreement, abatement contractors will focus solely on the removal of hazardous materials. The abatement work will be strictly confined to those areas directly affected by the construction activities. Notice to proceed 02/28/25 Completion of abatement of all three sites 08/15/25 Project completion date including 08/30/25 To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor License(s): A AND/OR B AND/OR C-22 The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. The successful bidder will be required to either meet the DVBE goal of three percent (3%) participation or demonstrate its good faith effort to solicit DVBE participation in this Contract if it is awarded the contract for the Work. Pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6, only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for this Project. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not prequalified shall be non-responsive and returned unopened to the bidder. A prequalification application MUST be submitted through electronically. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, cash, or a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the San Lorenzo Unified School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
