Summit County Facilities Maintenance Department is soliciting proposals from qualified asphalt mill and overlay service providers. The best proposal will be selected for award based upon consideration of qualifications, relevant experience, schedule and cost. The pre-bid meetings for this project is posted on the Summit County website. Location of Work This project is located on the Summit County Government PUD site, located in Frisco, CO. 80443, as shown in the GIS aerial photo included in this RFP. Scope Details The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, signage, traffic control and other incidentals necessary to provide a 1" Mill and 2" asphalt Overlay to the travel lanes of Peak One Blvd., While maintaining access to operations on the PUD site during the project. All asphalt work associated with this project will conform to Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) Grade SX, PG58-28 (SX-75) specifications and construction requirements, as described below in section C of this document. A. Bonds: This project will require the winning contractor to provided bid and performance bonds for Summit County's asphalt Mill and Overlay project. B. Measurements 1. An approximate Summit County GIS area calculation has been completed, showing an area of 9,050 square yards for the combined travel lane road sections, proposed for Peak One Blvd. Mill and Overlay to be bid for this project. As seen in the arial GIS map layout of project included in the RFP bid packet 2. The awarded Contractor for this project is responsible for confirming these measurements, any additional measurements, or suggested overage to complete bid. C. Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) Grade SX, PG58-28 (SX-75) Requirements: Bid Alternate - (GR SX -75) HMA PG58-28 20% RAP Submit questions regarding the proposals to wayne.byrne@summitcountyco.gov. This project will be scheduled for completion between April 15 th & September 30 th , 2025 The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder who best meets the requirements of Summit County and the public interest. The Summit County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive irregularities or informalities, and to conduct such investigations or negotiations as it deems necessary to select the most responsible and responsive proposal.
