The Project Scope of work consists of the construction of a new one-story, 2,800 SF pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) to be used for vehicle storage. The building shall include a concrete slab floor and be supported by concrete piles and grade beams. -The PEMB shall be manufactured with galvanized steel, or approved equivalent, with corrosion resistant coating capable of withstanding coastal weather, salt, and 200 mph wind speed. The manufacturer shall supply signed and sealed shop drawings for the Engineer of Record's review and approval prior to proceeding with manufacturing. The PEMB does not require insulation. - The scope of work includes demolition of existing structures, pavement, and utilities as shown on the attached drawings. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all debris and materials in accordance with all local, state, and/or federal regulations. The County will be responsible for removing all debris and materials not shown on the demolition drawings prior to the start of construction. - The scope of work also includes various site improvements such as site regrading, new electrical conduit connection, new water service connection, construction of retaining walls, asphalt paving, including construction of driveway and parking spaces, construction of heavy-duty concrete pavement apron, and construction of a concrete sidewalk. The Contractor should be aware that the transfer station is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 8:00am to 3:30pm. It will be the Contractor's responsibility to ensure that the jobsite is safe and secure during construction. - The Contractor will be permitted to dump, at no cost, scrap materials and debris at the transfer station during the project. The Contractor shall obtain and provide a weigh ticket to the Department of Facilities and Project Management for every load of construction and demolition debris for the project before dumping it on the tipping floor.
