2025 East Gusman Road Project Question Deadline 02/10/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Marathon Technical Services, LLC. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than three days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The overall description of the project, to be completed under one contract, is the pulverizing and re-pavement of approximately 1,400 feet of a rural street section. The project begins at CTH J and extends, for approximately 1,400 feet, eastward to Gavit Road. The project includes pulverizing the existing asphalt pavement, over excavating 400 ft to 15 inches deep, adding 15 inches of select crushed material, the addition of 6 inches BAD, grading, compaction, asphaltic paving, and shouldering. The approximate units of the major work items are as follows. 1) Pulverize existing pavement square yards 3,500 2) Over excavate 400 ft, a total of 15 inches deep from the surface 520 cu yds 3) In 400 ft, install 2,500 sq yds of fabric 4) In 400 ft, add 15 inches of 3 to 5 inch minus select crushed material 520 cu yds 5) Over 1,400 ft, add 6 inches of 1.25 BAD-725 cu yds 6) Install 3 inches, in two lifts, 22 feet wide, of asphalt pavement - 600 tons 7) Install Shouldering 160 cubic yards. This project is not subject to State of Wisconsin prevailing wage rates. A portion of this project will be funded with Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) funding. No bids shall be considered unless submitted on the official Proposal form. Bids shall be submitted with a minimum 5% Bid Bond. The Town of Weston reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding, and to award the Contract in the best interest of the Town. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the actual time of opening the bids. A performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the total bid price, together with an executed Agreement in the form prescribed by the Town, will be required of the successful bidder.
