Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in Hudson, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.
Clean-out Services, Asbestos Abatement, Buidling Demolition, and Related Work at the Norwood Inn 6625 Dean Memorial Parkway. Boston Heights, Ohio 44236 All bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee which shall be in the form of either: (a) a bond secured by a surety company acceptable to the U. S. Government and authorized to do business in the State of Ohio. The amount of the bond shall be for the full (100%) amount of the bid, plus alternates; or, (b) a certified check, cashier's check, bank draft or irrevocable letter of credit. The amount of the certified check, bank draft, irrevocable letter of credit shall be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, plus alternates. The assurance of completion shall be: (1) a performance and payment bond in the penal sum of 100 percent (100%) of the full amount of the contract; (2) a twenty percent (20%) cash deposit; or (3) a twenty five percent (25%) irrevocable letter of credit. B. Project Specifications The Norwood Inn, located at 6625 Dean Memorial Parkway, Boston Heights, Ohio 44236, and owned by Maplewood Lodging, LLC, has been officially deemed a public nuisance property by the Village of Boston Heights, Ohio and its nuisance abatement board. Its abatement and demolition has been ordered, and Maplewood Lodging, LLC, the owner, has consented to the work. The Project will consist of three phases: PHASE I - Site Cleanup; PHASE II - Asbestos Abatement; PHASE III - Demolition and Site Clearance. In Phase I, the selected Contractor will be responsible for clearing the site and properly disposing all debris and personal property within the site to allow for asbestos abatement and demolition to proceed. In Phase II, the selected Contractor will be responsible for the abatement and lawful disposal of all asbestos on the site to allow for demolition to proceed. In Phase III, the selected Contractor will be responsible for demolishing the Norwood Inn structure, including its foundation or slab, and restoring the site to a level plane, which includes but is not limited to: disposing of all debris safely and lawfully, filling the site, and grading site to prevent the pooling of water and to protect surrounding properties. BIDDERS MAY BID ON ONE, TWO OR ALL THREE PHASES. PROJECT AWARDS WILL BE AWARDED BASED UPON THE LOWEST, BEST BID IN EACH PHASE CATEGORY. Except as modified by the Contract, the latest edition of the Ohio Department of Transportation "Construction Material Specifications" shall govern this Project. The order of 15 / 51 governing for this Project shall be as follows: Specifications and General conditions, typical drawings, Ohio Department of Transportation "Construction Material Specifications" January 1, 2019, edition. All trucks entering or exiting any areas of work included in this project, shall be subject to, and in compliance with all regulations as set forth by the Summit County Department of Commercial Weight Enforcement, and the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5577. No truck shall exceed the maximum weight allowed by law of 80,000 lbs. gross vehicle weight or its permit vehicle weight. Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Payment for labor as it applies to this work shall not be less than the amount established by the U.S. Department of Labor. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Village of Boston Heights. The Village of Boston Heights reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to re-advertise our bids, and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejections, readvertisement or waiver is in the best interest of the Village.
