Renovation of an educational facility in Hartford, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

High School Bleacher Replacement Bidder is to design bleachers in a working area of pictures shown below. Bidder is to provide maximum seating with recoverable handicapped seating. Engineer, fabricate and install stands to withstand design loads specified in NFPA 102, "Standard for Assembly Seating, Tents and Membrane Structures" and Chapter 5 Folding and Telescoping Seating. Work may commence on June 2nd, 2025 and must be completed before June 30th , 2025. Work hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Longer hours are by arrangement with the owner. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive omissions, irregularities or clerical errors not affecting substantial compliance with the plans and specifications. Further, smoking or use of tobacco products in the school buildings is prohibited. Bids shall be firm for ninety (90) days from the date of the bid opening. All bids must meet or exceed all specifications. Bids must be submitted on the attached bid form and be signed by the bidder. he Hartford Public Schools is in compliance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act, AHERA. The building may have asbestos containing building materials, ACBM, and presumed asbestos containing building materials, PACBM, in identified locations. Consult the building AHERA plan in the Main Office for specific location(s) or contact Marc Clauser at 269-605-9071. All materials utilized in this / these project(s) must be asbestos and lead free. In accordance with MiOSHA regulations, contractor employees who work in areas where they may contact, but not disturb asbestos containing materials, must receive asbestos awareness training from their employer. Any questions should be referred to Marc Clauser, Maintenance Director, at 269-605-9071. SCOPE OF WORK: Bidder is to design bleachers in a working area of pictures shown below. Bidder is to provide maximum seating with recoverable handicapped seating. Engineer, fabricate and install stands to withstand design loads specified in NFPA 102, "Standard for Assembly Seating, Tents and Membrane Structures" and Chapter 5 Folding and Telescoping Seating. SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Bleacher seat color shall be Forest Green. The bleacher should be automatic and have end caps. 2. Provide and install the following accessories: o The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the terms of the Contract. o Non-slip tread nosing at the vertical aisles o Intermediate aisle steps at each vertical aisle, which are totally enclosed o Transitional top step where the last row of stands is adjacent to a cross aisle o Removable front steps, that engage the front row to prevent accidental separation or movement and are equipped with a maximum of 4 nonskid feet o Removable aisle handrails located at the centerline of each vertical aisle and discontinuous with gaps or breaks at intervals not exceeding 18 rows. Equip handrails with an intermediate horizontal handrail below the top rail Self-storing type end railing o Rear fillers including supports for closing openings between the top row and the rear wall EXECUTION: 1. Bleacher replacement and removal of old bleachers. 2. Train the Owners personnel on the procedures and schedules related to the operation, troubleshooting, servicing, inspection and maintenance of the stands. Provide applicable Owners operation and maintenance manuals. 3. Remove all construction related debris from the site. Broom clean the work area. Contractor shall submit appropriate documents of insurance (certificates of acord); workers compensation $100,000, liability $300,000, coverage pertaining to vehicles, property damage and public liabilities, personal injury, etc., and shall hold the school district blameless in any incident involving the contractor, his employees, his equipment, and vehicles. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to waive any informalities therein; or to award the contract to other than the lowest bidder, which is in the best interest of the District. We reserve the right to delay the opening of bids.
