As of August 21, 2025, this Project is in design. A pre- Construction Manager has been awarded. We cannot proceed with construction until we have received the required permit from the US Coast Guard, as the bridge will be crossing a navigable waterway. Permitting process could take between 10 and 12 months . A full GMP for construction services will be negotiated when it is close to time to start the actual construction of the bridge and roadways. Written Question Deadline January 13, 2025 Lake Havasu City is interested in receiving Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified Construction Managers at Risk (CMAR) to provide pre-construction services and construction services for the Second Bridge and Roadway Construction Project. Statements of Qualifications submitted must address, at a minimum, all issues brought forth in this Request for Statements of Qualifications (RFSQ). This project Design and Construction is funded by the State of Arizona Legislative Funding. The Second Bridge and Roadway network have been determined to be needed for Emergency Evacuation and Emergency Access to serve the isolated Island Community should the London Bridge and utilities within the superstructure be deemed unpassable or unusable. The Second Bridge will provide a secondary alternate route. Lake Havasu City is interested in receiving Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified Construction Managers at Risk (CMAR) to provide pre-construction services and construction services for the Second Bridge and Roadway Construction Project. Lake Havasu City may reject any SOQ not in compliance with all prescribed public competitive procurement procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all SOQs if Lake Havasu City finds it is in the public interest to do so.
