The City of Alexander is requesting quote bids for the construction and installation of the proposed 2023 Alexander Park Improvements Project. The project consists of constructing a concrete walking trail and installing park benches. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann.22-9-203, the Owner encourages all small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit bids for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions oftheir work, consideration is given to the identified groups. The bid proposal and work of the proposed contract shall be in accordance with all applicable federal, state,county, and local laws, ordinances, and regulations. Any bid may be rejected which contains material omissions, or irregulates, or in which any of the unit prices are obviously unbalanced in the opinion of the Owner. The owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject bids,choose the most qualified bidder for the project, and to postpone award of the contract for a periodof time which shall not exceed beyond 90 days from the bid opening date. All interested parties shall submit a bid for the proposed improvements and equipment described herein, by the date listed above. Each bid is to provide and install the improvements and equipment functional and complete per the project design drawings and specifications. Each bid package shall include the equipment specifications, drawings, warranty information, shipping and lead times, pricing, and other pertinent information regarding equipment to be installed for the project. Bidders must satisfy themselves of the required scope of work. After Bids have been submitted, the Bidder shall not assert that there was a misunderstanding concerning the scope of work. All Bidders shall submit a formal proposal for the equipment described herein, by the date listed above. Each proposal shall include the equipment specifications, drawings, warranty information, shipping and lead times, startup/field service, and pricing. Bidders must satisfy themselves of the required scope of work. After Bids have been submitted, the Bidder shall not assert that there was a misunderstanding concerning the scope of work.
