Site work for a water / sewer project in Sioux City, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Sioux City is accepting bids for the Marina Riverfront Dredging Project. An Original Bid Bond is Required for Bids Over $25,000.00 This project includes the removal of sand and sediment to an elevation level of 1062 within the mapped areas. A map of the current elevations will be included for contractor review and use in calculation of the amount of sediment that needs to be removed to get to the elevation of 1062 in the designated areas. (sheets D1, Marina Outlet Existing, and D1 Marina Water Depths. Areas of removal are within the red marked areas and the blue lines are measurements from structures that are used to define the area of removal.) On the west side of the Marina outlet match the existing slope of the bank to the 1062 elevation. From the base of the slope the channel will be a minimum 60 feet wide at the base of 1062. At the mouth of the Marina outlet there may be some riprap that will need to worked around or reset. B. Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, materials, and labor to remove and dispose of the sediment from the designated areas on the maps. Sediment can be dewatered onsite as shown on Map 2 and removed later. C. Any costs associated with the disposal of debris shall be considered incidental to the project and additional compensation shall not be considered. The City may consider taking the delivery of the sediment for reuse. D. Contractor shall prior to beginning work contact all utility companies and have all utility lines and services located. The Contractor is responsible for excavating and exposing underground utilities in the line of work. Confirm the location of underground utilities by excavating ahead of the work if necessary. The Contractor shall have all utilities in the area located and shall have verified all possible conflicts with underground utilities are clear before proceeding. E. Access to the marina will be from Chris Larsen road, using the top of the berm. When crossing the trail, protect the trail with load bearing materials to prevent further trail damage. F. Damage to the turf and surrounding landscape caused by the Contractor outside of the designated work area is the responsibility of the Contractor to repair and mediate. (Map 2) G. Protect surrounding signs, utilities, light poles, site furnishings, buildings, vehicles, lawns, vegetation, and concrete sidewalks from damage during work. Damage caused by Contractor's carelessness will be repaired or replaced at contractor's expense. H. Utilize MUTCD signs to alert drivers and pedestrians of the activities. If necessary for safety, close the trail during working hours and notify Parks staff. Any No Parking signs, warning signs, barricades, safety cones, caution tape, and flaggers that are required when sidewalks or roads are closed to facilitate operations are the responsibility of the Contractor to provide and maintain
