Ecological Management at Messenger Woods Nature Preserve, Hickory Creek Nature Preserve, Hadley Valley Preserve, and Potawatomi Woods Preserve. This project is located at the following preserves in Will County, Illinois: Messenger Woods Nature Preserve located in Homer Township; Hickory Creek Nature Preserve located in New Lenox & Frankfort Townships; Hadley Valley Preserve located in Homer & New Lenox Townships; and Potawatomi Woods Preserve located New Lenox Township. No pre-bid meeting. The bid submitted shall include a certified check, bank draft, cashier's check, bid bond or an acceptable irrevocable letter of credit payable to the Forest Preserve District of Will County for not less than 10% of total Bid amount. Contractor shall submit and maintain a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond for an amount equal to 100% of the Contract. The Surety shall be a corporation licensed to do such business in the State of Illinois and must be acceptable to the Forest Preserve. Bonds shall guarantee the faithful performance of the work in accordance with the Contract, payment of indebtedness incurred for labor and materials, and guaranteed correction of work for a period of one (1) year after final payment. Bonds shall state that the surety waives notice of any change in the terms of the Contract occurring after the execution and delivery of such bonds. Premiums on bonds shall be paid by Contractor. Bonds shall include provisions to guarantee the faithful performance of prevailing wage laws Work shall begin within 10 business days of receipt of the written Notice to Proceed. Work shall be completed in accordance with the Contract Documents by December 31, 2025. The Forest Preserve District of Will County reserves the right to accept any bid or any part or parts or combinations thereof, to waive any informalities or irregularities, and to reject any or all bids.
