On May 4, 2024 Mansfield ISD voters approved a $588.5 Million bond program to provide funds for facility and technology improvements for the ISD. Included in the Program are new facilities and renovations and additions to existing facilities. The work is to be initiated in phases over approximately five years. Planning for a portion of the projects funded by this bond issue will begin as soon as funds are available. Design on selected projects will begin immediately with bidding/negotiation for construction of the projects scheduled to begin in 2025. Initiation of work on most all of the projects should occur by 2028. Mansfield ISD aims to create a qualified pool of firms with whom to contract with in collaboration with construction projects throughout the District. The selected "Most Qualified" Firms will be assigned the projects as they are undertaken. Compensation will be negotiated for each of the projects when undertaken. The Consultant firms proposing to provide services under this RFQ are specializing in Professional Services and or including but not limited to Professional and Engineering Services for design, development, and execution for surveys, civil engineering, MEP engineering, technology and security design, underground site utility location services for GIS, including boundary and topographic survey, platting, re-platting, easements and license agreements for development of technical site plans and coordination with municipal authorities. At this time MISD is not actively seeking Geotechnical and Hazardous Materials Consulting Services, as this was addressed with a prior RFQ. It is the District's intention to first review the qualifications and proposal material from all firms submitting and select from the highest rated firms available at that time on an ongoing basis. The District may determine to visit each of the firms' representative clients and/or conduct interviews with firm personnel. Interviews may be held as deemed necessary. Qualified firms will go to the School Board for approval each month as reviewed. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
