Site work for a water / sewer project in Marco Island, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The proposed project shall consist of water main improvements in the North (Old) Marco area of the City of Marco Island. It will include, but is not limited to, the installation of a new 10" water main to replace the existing 4" asbestos cement water main, as well as the installation of new valves, fittings, fire hydrants, water service lines, maintenance of traffic, restoration activities, and temporary and final connections all in accordance with the project plans and specifications. All pipes must be flushed, tested, and sterilized prior to commissioning. A temporary bypass water main will be required to maintain service in one area of the project. The work is scheduled to commence at the end of April or the beginning of May 2025. ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS/RESPONDENTS ARE HEREBY CAUTIONED NOT TO CONTACT ANY MEMBER OF THE CITY OF MARCO ISLAND STAFF OR OFFICIALS OTHER THAN THE SPECIFIED CONTACT PERSON. RESPONSIBLE VENDOR DETERMINATION Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the District may not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
