The project consists of the following major activities: a. Installation of stabilized construction entrance. b. Cutting of approximately 559 trees as noted in the Contract Documents. c. Mulching of cleared site for stabilization. d. Removal of trees from site. e. Protection of existing Westchester County Airport secondary fence. f. Protection of existing structures. g. Stump removal and grubbing are excluded from this contract. The Bid Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bank draft payable to the Westchester Joint Water Works, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a Surety Company in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid and shall be submitted with each Bid. All such Bid Security will be returned to the respective Bidders within twenty-one (21) days after Bids are opened except those which the OWNER elects to hold until the Successful Bidder has executed the Contract. Thereafter, all remaining Bid Security, including the Bid Security of the Successful Bidder, will be returned within seven (7) days of Contract signing or ninety (90) days after the bid opening, whichever is less. The Successful Bidder shall be required to furnish the necessary Bonds and Insurance Certificates prior to Award of Contract.
