Site work, remodeling and addition to a municipal facility in Hiawatha, Kansas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for the addition of a municipal facility.
Solid Waste - Noxious Weed Building Repairs and Remodel The work generally consists of remodeling and constructing an addition to the current building at 1664 190th St., Hiawatha, KS. Current building 1. Remove existing sheetrock or plywood in existing offices, bathroom, entryway, and storage/utility room. 2. Change existing east office into utility room (extending north office wall to match existing north wall of entryway. 3. Add a second bathroom (4'x6') into the new utility room. Utility room will contain countertop on east wall with single stainless steel kitchen sink with single handle faucet. 4. Replace existing window in scale office (west wall) with a stationary window 107" x 40" that is easily looked out of while seated in office chair. 5. Replace west and south wall countertop entire length of scale office under the new window 6. Spray foam insulation on all existing exterior walls except for the north wall of existing east truck bay (this wall will be blown in). 7. Replace existing exterior west facing walk-in door with steel door top third glass. 8. Replace two existing interior doors in entryway. 9. Remove and replace existing metal siding on south and west side of existing building. 10. Install 2'x2' window on south wall of new utility room. 11. Sheetrock all existing office, bathroom, and entryway. 12. Install linear metal on ceilings in scale office, bathrooms, and entryway. 13. Clean, polish and seal concrete floors in scale office, entryway, and both bathrooms. 14. Raise existing south window 6" in scale office. 15. Install drain tile to eliminate ground water on south and west walls. 16. Put 4" above grade stub concrete wall to set existing south and west exterior walls onto to get sill plate above grade. 17. Insulate ceiling above east truck bay. 18. Replace existing truck bay overhead door and opener. 19. Replace existing toilet in scale office with tall toilet. 20. Replace existing sink in scale office bathroom. New addition 1) New addition on east side of existing building 30' to east, 40' N/S. Roof line to match existing building. 2) Truck bay / chemical storage room will have 9' (wide) x 12' (high) overhead garage door with opener. 3) Truck bay room will have a 36" walk-in door facing south next to overhead door. 4) Far east area of new addition will have two equal sized offices approximately 10' x 15' with a split storage closet opening into each office. 5) All exterior walls of new addition are to be spray foam insulated. 6) Two new offices are to have network cable hardwired coming from new utility room. 7) Two new offices are to have telephone lines into each office originating in new utility room. 8) Sheetrock all interior walls except for the new truck bay which will have metal covering to repel water. 9) Exterior wall of new addition will be metal matching the new metal on south and west wall of existing office building exterior. 10) New addition will have concrete floors (6" under truck bay area). 11) New addition concrete floor will have finished top four inches above highest exterior grade. This will create a step up from the existing truck bay floor. 12) New addition will have a separate HVAC system. 13) New truck bay will have a center 4 foot long trough type floor drain. Semi-trailer parking pad 1) 10' x 50' x 8" rebar reinforced concrete pad for landing gear and rear tractor axel of loaded semi trailers to be poured in field to NW of existing office. The county reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
