Underground storage tank repairs. Emergency Diesel Generator Underground Storage Tank (UST) sump cover is no longer watertight causing constant false alarms during the rainy season. This solicitation is for the cost of obtaining a qualified technician for the removal of contaminated water and the resetting of the veeder root monitoring system repair. SCOPE: o Remove and dispose 12' X 25' rectangular slab of concrete around the multiport spill containment manhole, base watertight manhole and watertight monitoring well manhole. o Remove & replace existing multiport spill containment Manhole with new properly sized spill containment manhole. o Remove & replace existing base watertight manhole, with new properly sized base watertight manhole. o Remove & replace existing watertight monitoring well manhole with new properly sized watertight monitoring well manhole. o Multiport spill containment manhole will be set 1 1/2" inch above surrounding concrete. New concrete will be poured up to and around the 1 1/2" inch and feathered in flush with existing concrete. o Bidder must obtain permits from Los Angeles Fire Department, Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA) prior to the start of work. o Bidder will provide concrete, secure fencing, and rollaway dumpster o Bidder will identify all hazardous waste and dispose properly. o Remove existing concrete from area surrounding the current spill containment manhole. o Install & frame new spill containment manhole and prep for new concrete o Pour new concrete and allow to cure. o A UST repair report must be provided to LA General Medical Center and CUPA. The report must include a site map, drawings, and a detailed description of the repair work process. o Bidder will provide function check and final inspection with CUPA Inspector. Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Local Small Business Enterprise (LSBE), Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), Social Enterprise (SE), and Community Business Enterprise (CBE) are encouraged to bid. County reserves the right to conduct a reasonable inquiry to determine the responsibility of a bidder.
