**As of April 02, 2022, the project was awarded to Grayson Carter, with an awarded amount of $945,555.89.** The project includes the installation of 4,100' of 8" ductile iron water main, 248' of 16" encasement (jack and bore), 70' of 16" ductile iron water main, 9 fire hydrant installations, and 16 water service relocations along the SR-53 corridor. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check of Bidders' Bond in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid, but not more than $10,000.00. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond such as described in the 1940 Code of Alabama, Title 50, Section 16, will be required of the successful bidder. The Performance Bond must be in the Penal amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price, and the Labor and Material Bond in the Penal amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. Same must be executed by a surety company acceptable to the Harvest-Monrovia Water, Sewer and Fire Protection Authority, and authorized to do business in the State of Alabama. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive in-formalities. Document Note: Any Bidder, upon returning the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS within ten (10) working days and in good condition, will be refunded the payment, and any non-bidder upon so returning the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be refunded half of the deposit.
