Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Rancho Cordova, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of roadway and intersection improvements along Baroque Drive conforming to the plans accompanying these Provisions. The construction improvements include slurry seal and striping with pavement markings, signing, ADA improvements, installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons, as well as other items and details not mentioned above, and described in the Special Provisions or as shown on the Plans or as designated by the Engineer. Sidewalk and sidewalk ramp improvements are to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title 24 and City of Rancho Cordova standards as provided in these specifications. Contractor License Required: General Engineering Contractor, Class A the liquidated damages for this contract shall be the sum of Four Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($4,200) per working day. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check or cashiers check payable to the City of Rancho Cordova, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the City of Rancho Cordova, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The City of Rancho Cordova reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine which bid, in their judgment, are the lowest responsive bid of a responsible bidder.
