Brief Scope: Sewer Replacement at Apartments Scope of work will consist of renovations and modernization of existing project and includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Provide existing utility locating on all areas of construction/disturbance, both public and private land by calling 811. 2. Provide new 4' diameter precast concrete manholes with rims, 8" DR-35 PVC sewer main & 6" SCH 40 service laterals to all buildings, as indicated on the drawings, at Forest City Housing Authority multi family site: Amity Apartments. 3. Maintain sewer function to all buildings at all times. When temporary transition is to occur, GC shall coordinate with Owner to notify tenants of any downtime to sewer. 4. Make all sewer service taps or connections during installation of proposed 8" DR-35 PVC sewer main. 5. Provide new cleanouts at all locations as indicated on the drawings. Provide precast concrete collar around all proposed cleanouts to avoid any future damage from landscaping or grass cutting in the future. In concrete or asphalt areas contractor shall provide brass top cleanouts flush with top of concrete collar. 6. Tie into existing sewer main at Lawing Rd and coordinate with City and any other authority having jurisdiction for connection to main. 7. Remove existing concrete sidewalks and curb & gutters as required for installation of new sewer lines. Clean neat saw cuts shall be made at existing joints and at 90 degree angles. Replace with 3000 psi concrete at all walks and curb & gutters. 8. Saw cut clean, straight lines along existing asphalt to be removed as required for installation of new sewer main & service laterals. Coordinate demolition of drives to ensure that all buildings and parking areas remain accessible by vehicular traffic of tenants at all times. Provide all necessary traffic signage and barriers. Make asphalt repairs per detail along saw cut areas for new sewer main and service laterals. Overlay entire area of asphalt with one inch (1") surface including both Amity Drive and all parking areas. 9. Existing sewer service laterals shall be abandoned in place. Existing sewer main shall be filled with flowable concrete fill & manholes shall be caved in and also filled with flowable fill. 10. Regrade all disturbed landscaped areas to match existing grades. Provide topsoil and seed and straw matting as shown on construction drawings. Ensure grass is established and reseed as required. 11. Provide all other work as indicated on drawings, in Project Manual, and as required by codes and the authority having jurisdiction.
