PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Pepper Construction has been selected as the Construction Manager for the Indianapolis Public Schools - Rebuilding Stronger - Julian Coleman 110 project located at 1740 E 30th St, Indianapolis, IN 46218. This project consists of 130,000 GSF of interior renovations as well as site improvements. Scopes of work include – selective demolition, roof replacement, exterior window & storefront replacement, acoustical ceiling replacement, chilled water system modification, domestic water and natural gas piping replacement, new BMS system, unit ventilator replacement, heating water system replacement, transformer and panelboard replacement, interior lighting replacement, card access/security/camera upgrades, asphalt milling & overlay, and concrete curb and sidewalk replacement. As of April 2025, construction is anticipated to begin June 2025 and end late summer/early fall 2026 Pepper Construction requests competitive bids for the following bid packages: BP-01: Selective Demolition BP-02: General Trades - doors/frames/hardware (supply & install) BP-03: Membrane Roofing BP-04: Glass & Glazing BP-05: Gypsum Board Assemblies & Acoustical Ceilings BP-06: Painting & Coatings BP-07: Flooring (alternate 1 & 6) BP-08: Plumbing BP-09: HVAC BP-10: Electrical & Low Voltage BP-11: Fire Suppression (alternate 4) BP-12: Site Concrete BP-13: Asphalt Paving BP-14: Earthwork & Utilities XBE PROJECT GOALS: We are seeking maximum XBE participation for this project. Diverse subcontractors & suppliers must be certified with the City of Indianapolis OMWBD; IDOA, Division of Supplier Diversity; Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council; or the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) for XBE spend to count toward project goals. All diverse subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers are highly encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting and submit bids for this project.
