This contract covers the point repair and rehabilitation of existing mainline sanitary and combined sewers using cured-in-place-pipe trenchless technology. The primary contract objective is the structural and hydraulic renewal of the existing sewer main. The location of the work will be at various sites within the service area of the Metropolitan Sewer District which includes all of Hamilton County, and parts of Warren and Clermont Counties. All awarded contracts will be of a standby nature and will only be exercised by the Metropolitan Sewer District as the need for contractual services arise Furnish all labor, material and equipment, and perform all work necessary to complete point repairs, renewals, and improvements to assets comprising the Metropolitan Sewer District's wastewater collection system including main sewers and force mains using cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) trenchless technology methods and equipment. With the exception of Performance Surety, bid amounts shall include all overhead costs including, but not limited to, profit, insurance, personal safety equipment and appurtenances. In conjunction with repairing, renewing, or improving assets under this contract, the Contractor or his approved Partner(s) shall clean and televise sewers, reconnect existing sewer service connections, and provide all submittals required by this specification. The Contractor will be required to submit a visual PACP condition assessment of all mainline improvements, repairs, replacements, or renewals. Television inspection includes televising immediately before lining, televising & submitting video within 48 hours after lining, televising after making repairs to correct liner defects, and televising after rehabilitating lateral connections. Requirements pertaining to these activities are presented in greater detail in Appendix B. No payments for a repair will be made without submittal and approval by MSD of a post-repair visual condition assessment A Bid Bond, deposit of cash or Certified Check, Bank Cashier's or Bank Official's Check drawn on a solvent bank payable to the Treasurer of the City of Cincinnati, in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid must accompany each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted a contract will be entered into The successful bidder(s) will be required to provide performance surety in the amount of 100% of the contract value. A performance bond surety shall be kept fully in effect for one year following the acceptance of the final statement of costs by the City Manager. If surety is a cashier's check or certified check, such surety will be refunded to contractor one year following the acceptance of the final statement of cost by the City Manager.
