Procurement Program Participation Goals This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc. necessary to renovate two (2) day-use comfort stations. The sites are located in Rosaryville State Park at 7805 West Marlton Avenue, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 2. This project includes the following: Exterior Renovations for Each Restroom: NOTE: The quantities in this specification are for one (1) restroom. When calculating for work and /or supplies you must double the quantity to supply two (2) identical restrooms. a. Remove and properly dispose of existing metal roofing (approximately 1,100 SF), felt underlayment, flashing, drip edge and all associated appurtenances down to bare roof purlins. b. Inspect roof purlins and replace any deteriorated wood as directed by the DNR Project Engineer and DGS Inspector on a unit price basis, (Unit Price #1). c. Fully remove four (4) skylight domes and completely close the openings to create a flush slope that matches the surrounding roof sheathing. d. Install four (4) new solar tubes, two (2) over each bathroom. e. Provide and install metal roof, felt underlayment, flashing, drip edge, etc. to roof of approximately 1,100 SF. f. Remove and replace all wood fascia, approximately 50 LF. g. Remove and replace all wood rake board and wrap, approximately 120 LF. h. Provide and install a new complete gutter system along the front and rear, approximately 50 LF. Two new downspouts and concrete splash blocks shall be included. i. Remove all existing wood siding, trim and associated appurtenances down to block wall. Remove all exterior signage and turn over to Facilities Park Manager. Inspect all siding furring and replace any deteriorated wood as directed by the project engineer on unit price basis, (Unit Price#2). k. Install 8 new block vents. l. Prepare, prime, and paint exposed masonry foundation with two (2) coats of specified exterior paint to exposed foundation walls from grade to 1' (foot) above grade to match siding. Block shall be cleaned properly prior to being painted. m. Remove and replace all windows and associated trim and flashing. n. Provide and install new Board & Batton siding system, trim, etc., approximately 1,130 SF. o. Provide and install new wall signage (4 signs). p. Remove and replace two (2) steel entrance doors and one (1) steel pipe-chase door with new steel door, frame and hardware, door lock set, closers, etc. into the existing block wall openings. New lock sets to be keyed to match key provided by Facility Manager. q. Remove and replace exterior lighting (1) and solar sensor (1). r. Remove and replace water fountain/bottle filling station with specified unit. s. Remove and replace six (6) 6x6 timber posts and all 4x4 diagonal struts. Stain new posts and struts. Install new metal post bases. t. Remove and replace beadboard ceiling and trim with new vinyl soffit at covered entrance area to match interior, approximately 230 SF. New composite trim to be installed around perimeter. u. Properly clean concrete porch and install new epoxy floor system. VSBE Participation (%) 5.0 MBE Participation (%) 20.00 Socio Economic Participation Criteria The work shall be completed within 120 calendar days from the start date of the contract. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquidated damages of $350.00 per calendar day as specified in the "General Conditions.
