Site work and paving for a civil project in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
This project involves sanitary sewer repairs, including, but not limited to sanitary point repairs, manhole repairs and replacements, pre- and post-repair televising, full sanitary sewer segment replacements, traffic control, access and mobilization, and restoration. Question Deadline 01/16/2025 Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words "ROSS TOWNSHIP 2025 SANITARY SEWER REPAIR PROJECTS EXCAVATION CONTRACT to the Ross Department of Public Works Building located at 225 Cemetery Lane, Ross Township, PA 15237. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Ross Township in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within fifteen (15) days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates are required to be paid on this contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in bids received. The Contractor will be responsible for removing the existing deck and staircase at 107 Mulkemn Drive to allow forthe installation of the new sanitary lines. The resident has been notified ofthe work to be completed; however, the Contractor will be responsible for all final coordination to ensure proper implementation. The work will include, but not be limited to, removal and disposal of the existing deck, staircase, supports, joists, decking, structural supports and any other components of the system; patching, sealing, caulking, etc of any holes including connections to the house and subsurface posts; installation of a new sitting deck, coordination of building permits with the Township, design of the deck to Township and industry standards, replacement and/or relocation of the chain-link fence to the satisfaction of the Township/resident and any other work required to the complete this portion of the project. This item will be paid as a Lump Sum. Ross Township 2025 Sanitary Sewer Repair Projects Excavation Contract Contract 2/2025 Any and all references within the entirety of the contract documents as it relates to the removal of the existing deck, and replacement with the sitting deck, shall be modified by this addendum per the language in Subsection i. above even if not specifically referenced. All other aspects of the specifications shall remain unchanged. The proposed deck shall be six (6) feet wide against the house and four (4) feet long perpendicular to the house. The deck shall be installed at the second story doorway with no stairs. Railing with the appropriate guard posts shall be mounted to all three (3) exposed sides ofthe deck. Structural posts and concrete footers shall be erected and all joists, joist hangers, ledger boards, and decking shall be installed. All wood materials shall be No. 2 grade or better, preservative pressure treated pine. All bolts, nails, lag screws, rivets, nuts, and washers shall be hot dipped galvanized steel in accordance with ASTM A153. Completion of this work shall be in accordance with the Ross Township Residential Deck Guide (https://www.ross.pa.us/230/Forms-and-Resources) as well as the latest International Residential Code (IRC). In the event of a discrepancy between these specifications, the most stringent rule shall apply. This work shall be covered in full by Bid Item 13* "Deck Removal at 107 Mulkerrin Drive and Stair Installation", Lump Sum.
