Site work, paving, remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Marrowstone, Washington. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
Repave existing parking areas and add new pavement in areas adjacent to B77 and B920. Add two catch basins and piping from south lot to retention pond. Install biofiltration swale along north end of project site. Add new curbing and pavement markings. The Contractor shall provide labor and equipment, as required, to accomplish the following work in accordance with the statements herein: Repave existing parking areas and add new pavement in areas adjacent to B77 and B920. Add two catch basins and piping from south lot to retention pond. Install biofiltration swale along north end of project site. Add new curbing and pavement markings. Escorts are not required. All work must be coordinated through the NAVFAC Engineering Technician (ET). A preconstruction meeting shall be coordinated at least two (2) weeks prior to start of work and include at a minimum the ET, Customer, Contractor, and all required Sub-Contractors. 1. Coordinate with ET prior to commencement of work. 2. Work around Building 77 to be completed in three phases as to not impede traffic and facility operations. 3. Saw cut asphalt and concrete pads. 4. Demolish and remove existing asphalt. 5. Excavate, grade, and compact subgrade to accommodate 6 inches of 3/4" crushed surfacing and 4 inches of asphalt pavement. 6. Install two catch basins and drainage piping from south approach lot to retention pond. Apply grass seed to area upon completion. 7. Install risers on existing sunken catch basins. 8. Install and compact 6" 3/4" crushed surfacing. Compaction testing to be completed prior to installing asphalt. 9. Install 4" of hot mix asphalt pavement in accordance with Ref (C), compact to 91.5% theoretical maximum density. 10. Provide white pavement markings for new 9 foot wide parking spaces in northwest corner of lot adjacent to Building 116. 11. Paint new fog line at edge of roadway at north end of lot. 12. Install precast concrete curbing around utility areas. 13. Install a biofiltration swale along north side of project site to catch water runoff. Excavate for swale, lay down filtration fabric, cover with bioswale soil mix, and apply grass seed.
