The Salem City Council of Salem, South Dakota, requests formal bids for the 200 N Main Street Commercial Building - Asbestos Removal Demolition of 200 N Main Street, Salem, SD. The project consists of the demo of the 200 N Main Street Commercial Buildings. Asbestos containing materials (greater than 1%) may be present within the building or area. Bidders for this work will be required to comply with 40 CFR 33. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the City of Salem, South Dakota, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. A bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid will be accepted in lieu of a certified check or bank draft. Surety for bid bond must be authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota. The Salem City Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waives technicalities, and make award(s) as deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Salem, South Dakota.
