Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Paso Robles, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; transportation facility; and transportation facility.

**As of March 31, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Following the closure of the bid submittal period, bids will be publicly opened and read for performing work as follows: Furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all work necessary and incidental to the construction of the project known as Paso Robles Airfield Pavement Repairs, according to drawings and specifications prepared by the City of El Paso de Robles and according to the Contract Documents. The work shall include, but is not limited to, localized pavement rehabilitation on the northwest and transient ramp that includes full depth reconstruction, crack routing and filling, mill and fill and slurry seal, and placing new taxiway centerline pavement markings on the taxiway, ramp, and helipad areas. Contractor to provide all necessary work plans, permits, and inspections necessary, all as shown on the plans and/or as specified herein. Project is to be completed within Fifteen (15) WORKING days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall pay to the City of El Paso de Robles the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), for each and every calendar day's delay in finishing the work in excess of the calendar day completion time. Engineer's Estimate: $302,000 Each bidder must submit bid security in one of the following forms: cash, cashier's check payable to City, a certified check payable to City, or a bid bond in the form included with the bid documents, executed by an admitted surety insurer, made payable to City in an amount equal to at least 10% of the total amount of the bid or proposal. All bidders shall be licensed under the provisions of the Business and Professions Code to do the type of work contemplated in the project. In accordance with provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, City has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid Class A (General Engineering) License at the time that the bid is submitted. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the bid non-responsive. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a payment bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, as well as a faithful performance bond, in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The bonds shall be on the forms included in the Contract Documents. City reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to make any awards or any rejections in what it alone considers to be in the best interest of City and waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids. The contract will be awarded, if at all, to the responsible bidder that submits the lowest responsive bid. City will determine the low bid. DRAWING NO. 24-44 A. General Scope of the Work a. In general, the project includes the following major elements: o Localized pavement reconstruction. o Crack routing and filling. o Slurry seal. o Pavement marking b. The scope of actual construction work includes: o Airfield safety and security. o Work Area "A" o Localized pavement reconstruction effort, including saw cutting limits of reconstruction, demolition, removal, and disposal of existing section, importation and construction of new asphaltsection matching surface drainage and elevation. o Work Area "B" o Localized pavement rehabilitation, focusing on sawcut of pavement repair limits, removal, disposal, and replacement of asphalt surface course with new hot-mix asphalt. o Crack fill, including cleaning of all cracks, followed by routing of all cracks larger than 1/4 " and smaller than 3/4 ", and the filling of all routed cracks and cracks greater than 3/4 ". o Surface preparation and application of slurry seal o Paint new taxiway centerline pavement markings. c. The work is presented in a two-part bid schedule. Work Area "A" being the base bid, and Work Area "B" being Additive Alternate A. as shown in the Project Layout Plan (Appendix A) d. Figure 1, the Project Layout Plan (sheet 2 of the project plan set) shows the extent and location of all work on this project.
