Project location: PROJECT LOCATION: 1 Mimosa Street Raleigh, NC 27604 The City of Raleigh requests proposals for replacement of select HVAC equipment located at the Mordecai House with bid alternates to be labeled as the Post Office, Old office, and the Andrew Johnson House locations within the Mordecai Park complex. The current HVAC equipment located at these locations consist of several 2.5 ton through 5-ton split heat pump systems and one package heat pump system. All work to include electrical and plumbing will be required of awarded contractor. All work must be installed to current mechanical, electrical, plumbing building codes and manufactures installation instructions. All work must be approved and inspected by City of Raleigh. All work must be performed by licensed contractors with the State of North Carolina. Contractor shall provide validation and Certificate of Insurance (COI) that all employees are properly insured. Contractor will ensure that the designated City of Raleigh facilities staff receive informal familiarization training of equipment that is installed after final inspection has been completed. Contractor will provide all installation manuals, specification documents and warranties to the City of Raleigh Project Manager at completion of project. All HVAC equipment installed throughout the project will be refrigerant type A2L (R-454B) Question Deadline 02/07/2025 at 5:00 PM ET The City's goal is to contract and sub-contract fifteen percent (15%) of the total contract amount to Certified MWBEs on construction projects of $300,000 or more, or contracts of $100,000 or more that include any State funding. No Bid may be withdrawn for Forty-Five (45) days after opening time. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87.
