The City of Richmond, Department of Planning and Development Review is soliciting to establish a contract for elevator inspection services, plan review services and certifications for buildings within the City of Richmond. Question Deadline 02/07/2025 at 5:00 PM ET The City of Richmond’s Department of Planning and Development Review uses a third party contractor to perform all plan reviews for elevating equipment, issuance of permits, permit inspections, scheduling and performance of routine, Category 1 and 5 inspections. There are approximately 2,000 elevating equipment within the City of Richmond. The City reserves the right to reject incomplete inspection or plan review reports or incorrect inspection or plan review reports, and the Contractor shall re-inspect, review again, or re-submit the incomplete or incorrect work within five business days of the Contractor’s receipt of notice from the City. In accordance with section “Minority Business Enterprise / Emerging Small Business Participation” of Part 2 (“Instructions to Bidders”) of this Invitation for Bids, it has been determined for this solicitation the minority business enterprise and emerging small business participation of 0% is reasonably possible given the availability of minority business enterprises and emerging small businesses for the scope of work covered by this solicitation.
