Renovation of a multi-residential development in Guttenberg, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The bidders shall include the Housing Authority with replacement flooring, door saddles and baseboard molding in accordance with its bid. The flooring to be purchased and installed must be Style Selections Dove Tail Oak, 12-mil, 7-in W x 48-in L Waterproof Interlocking Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring, Item #2414463, or its equivalent. The door saddles to be purchased and installed shall be of a design and color that will compliment the new flooring and that will provide a flush transition to and from the new flooring. The new baseboard molding to be purchased and installed shall be waterproof and no less than five inches (5) high. The Contractor shall provide the Housing Authority with product specification sheets and identify the duration of the manufacturers warranties prior to purchasing the materials. • At both locations: o The existing flooring is to remain and that the new flooring is to be installed on top. o The new saddles door must include the existing saddles to each apartment door • At 6900 Broadway: At 6900 Broadway: o the community room in the basement has existing integral epoxy cove base. The specifications call for new 5” high base. o the integral epoxy cove base is rounded. The new flooring can butt the rounded section and does not need to be cut out. o in the kitchen of the community room there is a gas stove. The Housing Authority will disconnect and reconnect the stove. o The Guttenberg Housing maintenance people will move the stove and refrigerator in the kitchen, to install the new floor. o There are 2 bathrooms in the community room that there is no work to be performed in these rooms. • At 400 68th Street: o The bid is for 4 floors and the 1st floor is not included in this bid. o the elevator door opens out to the lobby. These doors do not have any clearance above the existing flooring. Housing Authority will make this adjustment with the provider prior to installation Bid Bond: Bid security, in the amount of 10% of the bid, must accompany each bid that is submitted. At the option of the bidder, the bid security may be in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or Bid Bond payable to The Housing Authority of the Town of Guttenberg. If a Bid Bond is submitted, it shall be in substantially the form set forth in the Invitation for Bids. Consent of Surety: Bidders shall provide a certificate from a surety company stating that the surety will provide a Performance Bond in the full amount of the contract price if Bidder is awarded a contract. Proposals must be made upon and in accordance with the forms provided in the Invitation for Bids. No bids will be received after the time and date specified above, and no bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after bid opening. The Authority reserves the right, pursuant to applicable law, to waive any informalities in the bid or to reject any or all bids. Bid envelopes must be marked Bid for Flooring Replacement at 6900 Broadway and 400 68th St buildings and indicate Sealed Bid in the lower left-hand corner.
