The City of Takoma Park ("City") invites qualified vendors ("Vendors") to submit proposals to provide furnishings for the Takoma Park Maryland Library and Community Center Redevelopment Project. The Takoma Park Maryland Library ("Library"), Computer Center ("Computer Center"), and Community Center ("Community Center"), also known collectively as "facilities" or "the facilities," serve the public of Takoma Park and Montgomery County, Maryland. They are located at 101 Philadelphia Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland 20912 and adjoin the majority of City offices on a single site. Under this RFP, the City will engage a Vendor to provide necessary furnishings and furniture required to complete the Project. The Project shall be complete, operating and ready for use within the specified time frame and within the Project's budget as specified in this RFP. The Project will be located at 101 Philadelphia Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland 20912. Generally, the Vendor's responsibilities shall include, at a minimum, the following: 1. To confirm the itemized scope of the RFP furnishings. 2. To provide all procurement, personnel, management and supervision, and equipment necessary to fulfill the RFP requirements. 3. To store furnishings until they can be safely delivered to the Project site. 4. To deliver the furnishings to the Project site. 5. To perform any necessary assembly or reconstruction of the delivered items. 6. To arrange the delivered items in accordance with the furniture plan as drawn and directed by RRMM in the Furniture Plan attachment appended to this document. Project Completion: Substantial completion of the Project's construction is currently scheduled for April 2025. Order fulfillment should be scheduled to time with the building's substantial completion, and the City will provide responsive communication to coordinate around this date. A confirmation email will be sent to all applicants no later than Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
