The successful contractor will be responsible for all materials and labour, to carry out the work. Lighting throughout the school is old metric type, and is obsolete. Existing lighting is to be replaced or retrofitted to LED fixtures. 3. As the T-Bar grid and existing fixtures are metric throughout the school, the use of grid-mounted fixtures is preferred, using the current lighting feeds throughout the classrooms and associated rooms. 4. Work shall involve the following: a. Supply all necessary materials and labour to install new LED fixtures in required classrooms. b. Old drop in fixtures will be disconnected and any operating tubes will be removed and turned over to the school to reuse in other areas where needed. c. Installation will mainly occur within the classrooms as indicated by the attached drawings (see NLSCHOOLS-25-041 Drawings Menihek High School.pdf) with approximate fixtures required per room. d. Work will be scheduled around availability of rooms with possible work after regular school hours. e. Lighting fixtures are to be similar to those attached for reference (see NLSCHOOLS-25-041 LED Lighting Information.pdf) and are required to be 347v with multiple settings for Lumen output. The specifications provided are used to illustrate an acceptable standard only and does not demonstrate a preference to any particular brand. f. Contractor will to supply approximately 700 fixtures for installation throughout the school along with necessary labour and materials for such. g. Lighting to be installed to obtain maximum illumination for each room. Project must be completed by March 28, 2025.
