The selected consultant(s) will be required to perform basic TAB services, the scope of work to be specified on a project-byproject basis in the contract to be negotiated after selection. The District intends to use the attached sample Agreement between Owner and Consultant shown in Exhibit A. MISD reserves the right to approve proposed sub-consultants, if any, who will be associated with the selected TAB firm. The services of TAB firm, may include, but shall not be limited to, testing, adjusting and balancing of air systems, testing, adjusting and balancing of hydronic and refrigeration systems, measurement of final operating condition of HVAC systems, and sequence balancing between completion of systems tested. The exact scope of work will be determined on a project-by-project basis. This RFQ pertains to the Program which includes the following projects: 1. Two New Comprehensive High Schools a) Two new comprehensive high schools on separate sites will be constructed simultaneously from a single prototype design. b) The high schools will be designed to accommodate 3,800 students each with future expansion to 4,200 students each. c) Approximate Construction Budget = $800,000,000. d) New High Schools will open Fall of 2028. 2. Expansion and Renovation of Existing Schools a) Abell Junior High School i. Classroom Addition. ii. Interior / Exterior Renovations. iii. HVAC / Plumbing / Fire Protection Upgrades. iv. Approximate Construction Budget = $27,800,000. v. Project Scheduled Completion Summer 2026. b) Alamo Junior High School i. Classroom / Library / Dining Addition. ii. Interior / Exterior Renovations. iii. HVAC / Plumbing / Fire Protection Upgrades. iv. Approximate Construction Budget = $22,000,000. v. Project Scheduled Completion Summer 2026. c) Goddard Junior High School i. Classroom / Dining / Entry Addition. ii. Interior / Exterior Renovations. iii. HVAC / Plumbing / Fire Protection Upgrades. iv. Approximate Construction Budget = $23,000,000. v. Project Scheduled Completion Summer 2026. d) San Jacinto Junior High School i. Library / Dining Addition. ii. Interior / Exterior Renovations. iii. HVAC / Plumbing / Fire Protection Upgrades. iv. Approximate Construction Budget = $10,000,000. v. Project Scheduled Completion Summer 2026. e) Existing Legacy High School i. Dining / Entry Addition. ii. Interior / Exterior Renovations. iii. HVAC / Plumbing / Fire Protection Upgrades. iv. Approximate Construction Budget = $12,800,000. v. Project Scheduled Completion Summer 2028. f) Midland Freshman High School i. Classroom / Library / Dining / Entry Addition. ii. Interior / Exterior Renovations. iii. HVAC / Plumbing / Fire Protection Upgrades. iv. Approximate Construction Budget = $25,300,000. v. Project Scheduled Completion Summer 2028 g) District-Wide Elementary & Alternative Schools i. Secured Entry Addition. ii. Miscellaneous Interior / Exterior Renovations. iii. Approximate Construction Budget = $8,800,000. iv. Project Scheduled Completions: Summer 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028. Question Deadline 01/15/2025 at 3:00 PM CT All requests for clarification should be made in writing at online. Deadline for Response to Questions January 20, 2025 Assignment of Program Projects to TAB Firm(s) from Pool March through May 2026 This RFQ, any addenda, which may be issued, responder's submissions and negotiated terms and conditions are to be incorporated into the contract by reference. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all responses. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and technicalities and may, at its sole discretion, request clarification or other information to evaluate a submission in order to make the award of the contract in the best interests of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right, before awarding the contract, to require responders to submit additional evidence of qualifications or any other information the Owner may deem necessary. Also, prior to School Board approval, the Owner reserves the right to cancel the RFQ or portions therein, without penalty. The Owner reserves the right to conduct all research it deems necessary as part of its evaluation of respondents including their proposed subcontractors (if any), and contacting previous clients
