Reference Number 0000372107 Job Location: City of Hillsdale, MI CONSTRUCTION Work shall include the preparatory work and operations including, but not limited to, the following: Preparatory work and expenses incurred prior to beginning work onsite. Transport materials, personnel, and equipment to the job site. Establishment of temporary onsite construction facilities, if required. Provided insurance, bonds, and other costs associated with the project in general and not included in other pay items. Coordination with property owners. All required submittals. The City of Hillsdale is requesting proposals for the following project: Sanitary Sewer open cut replacement and spot repairs of approximately 240 LF of sanitary sewer lines in four locations within the City of Hillsdale. The City of Hillsdale can provide, upon request, video of existing pipe for bidding purposes only. The city is anticipating award of this contract in mid-February and wishes the work completed in an expedient manner soon after contract award to accommodate the required lining of three of these pipe sections with an already awarded lining project. The video survey recently completed in preparation for some sanitary sewer lining discovered sanitary sewer pipe sections that cannot be lined due to some breaks and misaligned pipe sections. Work Tasks: All work associated with this work shall be in accordance with all applicable sections of the 2020 MDOT Standard Specification for Construction and attached Special Provisions as noted. Remove existing roadways that consist Hot Mixed Asphalt (HMA) to the width noted on the project drawings. Remove and replace any impacted curb and gutter. Remove and replace any impacted concrete drive approaches. Provide by-pass pumping of the existing sanitary sewer lines to be replaced, if needed. Construct the new sanitary sewer sections per the applicable sections of the attached sanitary sewer special provision and the MDOT specifications. Re-establish any impacted sanitary sewer service connections in the pipe sections being replaced or repaired. Replace the existing HMA per the HMA Application Table on drawing sheet S5.
