Reference Number 0000372267 Question Deadline 02/05/2025 at 5:00 PM MT DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: The scope of work is to provide a new 600A, 208/120V, 3-phase electrical service to the existing building at 870 Parfet Street. In addition, a new 125KVA/156KVA, 208/120V, 3-phase diesel generator will also be installed in conjunction with an ATS and MTS. All new electrical equipment will be installed on the exterior of the building. A new concrete pad for the generator and housekeeping pads for the electrical equipment will be required to be installed. New underground service laterals will be installed from the existing Xcel Energy transformer to the new electrical service equipment. Coordination with Xcel Energy is required and to be completed by the electrical contractor. The new electrical service will re-feed the existing electrical equipment located on the inside of the building. A new panelboard will be installed inside of the building. New receptacles will be connected to an existing panelboard to feed new owner furnished equipment. Electrical contractor shall remove existing electrical service equipment in addition to existing electrical service equipment that is no longer in use. Electrical contractor is required to maintain power to the existing building via a roll-up generator during service replacement and cut-over times as the existing facility must remain operational with power. The project is to be completed within ninety (90) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, If contractors schedule exceeds 90 calendar days please list the required amount of time on bid schedule in section 004100 Bid Form. Contractor will be issued a Notice to Proceed for procuring materials prior to the start of Construction (May 1, 2025). This will not count towards calendar days. An original Bid Guaranty with accompanying Power of Attorney must be provided to the City of Lakewood Finance Operations Division, 480 S. Allison Pkwy., Lakewood, CO 80226, within forty-eight (48) hours of the date of the City's Notice of Intent to Award. Bid Guaranty must be received prior to any Bid award. The City may hold Bids for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding a Contract. However, the City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities, not required by law, in the bidding process or in any Bids, as may be deemed by the City to be in its best interest.
