Renovation of a multi-residential development in Worcester, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Lower Roof Replacement - Belmont Tower at Belmont Tower (MA 12-12) in Worcester, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by DIETZ & COMPANY ARCHITECTS. The Project consists of but not limited to: Replacing the 2,220 SF roof over the two-story 1990's addition. Removal and reinstallation of certain MEP equipment will be required. The work is estimated to cost $215,000.00. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, General Building Construction, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. The Project consists of but not limited to: Replacement of approximately 2,200 sq. ft of EPDM roofing with new PVC roofing on a lower portion of the building. The majority of this portion of the building was renovated and added to in 1995, which is the presumed date of the roof. Minor MEP coordination work will be required in relation to existing roof mounted equipment. The main purpose for this work, besides replacing a 30-year-old roof, is a deterioration of the expansion joint between the roof and the tower, which is allowing rain and snow melt to enter into the two stories below MA 12-12 Belmont Tower is a 19-story, 166-unit apartment building was built in 1976.
