Description: The construction of 85,000 Gallon Water Storage Standpipe, Mixing System, Site Piping, Fencing and Master Meter Vault. No pre-bid conference will be held. Contact: Jay Updike The Contractor shall be responsible for all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the design, fabrication, construction, painting, disinfection and testing of one (1) welded carbon steel water storage tank built at grade level on a concrete foundation. Design and construction of the Water Storage Tank shall conform to all requirements of AWWA DI00 Standard for Welded Carbon Steel Tanks for Water Storage, except as modified by the requirements ofthese contract documents. The Contractor may use Section 14 ofthe AWWA DI00 as a part ofthe design. Tanks designed on this basis must incorporate all the provisions of this section. The requirements of Section 3 of the AWWA DI00 are superseded by any differing requirements of Section 14. The Contractor shall base his bid on a soil bearing capacity in the geotechnical report. All iron and steel products used in this project for the construction, alteration, maintenance or repair of a public water system or water treatment plant shall be produced in the United States in accordance with the Consolidated Appropriation Act of 2014. Such products include lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete and construction materials.
