The Glendower Group (Glendower) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation established in November 2001 as an instrumentality to the Elm City Communities / Housing Authority of New Haven (ECC/HANH), Connecticut. Glendower is a development company that support the redevelopment activities of ECC/HANH for the benefit of the low-income residents. Glendower is at the forefront of those leading the private sector market in affordable housing. Glendower provides comprehensive and integrated real estate development services specializing in affordable housing. The scope of work pertains to all stages of the interior design process, including conceptualization, design development, implementation, and project completion. It will also establish clear quality control processes and standards for interior design projects to ensure high-quality results and client satisfaction. Design Brief Evaluation o Client Consultation: Verify that all relevant details about the client's needs, goals, preferences, and budget have been collected and accurately documented. o Review of Requirements: Ensure alignment with the client's expectations (e.g., style, functionality, sustainability) and specific project constraints (e.g., space size, deadlines). o Design: Bring contemporary design standards and a mix of styles into the interior design of mixed use and mixed income affordable housing developments to assure that ECC developments provide modern and up to date designs. Concept Development and Design o Preliminary Sketches and Mood Boards: TH Review initial sketches, mood boards, and material boards to ensure they align with the client's interior design requirements and vision. TH Cross-check style choices, color schemes, and material selections for consistency and practicality. o Client Feedback: TH Implement a review process with the client to gather feedback on the concept before moving forward. TH Ensure feedback is documented and incorporated into subsequent stages. Vendor and Supplier Selection o Material and Product Quality: Ensure selected materials and furnishings meet design specifications and industry standards for quality, safety, and durability. o Supplier Evaluation: Vet suppliers and contractors to ensure reliability, cost effectiveness, and timely delivery. o Samples and Prototypes: Review samples and prototypes to ensure they match the design intent before bulk ordering or final selection. Final Review and Quality Check o Completion Inspection: Conduct a final walk-through with the client to ensure that all aspects of the design have been properly executed. o Deficiencies and Adjustments: Identified document any issues or areas that require adjustments, and ensure they are rectified promptly. Post-Project Evaluation o Feedback Collection: After project completion, gather client feedback to evaluate overall satisfaction and areas for improvement. o Project Documentation: Ensure that all project files, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence, are properly archived for future reference or legal compliance. Continuous Improvement o Quality Control Review: Periodically review the IQC process to identify opportunities for improvement, whether in design processes, vendor selection, or project management. o Training and Development: Provide ongoing training for the interior design team on emerging design trends, new technologies, and quality standards. Requirements The responded shall be register with the Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) as an Interior designer and have a minimum of three (3) years' experience as an interior designer. The Internal Quality Control process for interior designers aims to provide structure, consistency, and accountability throughout all stages of a project. By maintaining high standards and regular checks, interior designers can deliver projects that not only meet but exceed client expectations, ensuring long-term satisfaction and repeat business.
