ALL PRIME Contractors are required to register with the ARCHITECT. Sealed bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA R.S. 37:2150-2163 for the Classification of Building Construction. Each bona fide bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S.38: 2212(A)(1)(c). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of LA R.S. 38:2214 or without the consent of the Housing Authority. 4. A BID SECURITY (a certified check or bank draft made payable to the Housing Authority, U. S. Government Bonds, or satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable Sureties) in the amount of five percent (5.0%) of the highest possible bid amount is required. Bids are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submittal. Contractor shall use the Bid Form provided in the Bid Documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds The Work for this project is generally described as cleaning and painting the interior finishes including walls, ceilings, cabinetry and countertops, installation of new sheet-vinyl flooring, replacement of doors including trim and hardware, electrical fixture and device replacement, hvac unit repair, bathroom fixture replacement, and other necessary and required work for proper installation as described in the specifications and construction documents. 7. The Owner requires the Architect to issue Substantial Completion of the Work on or before 135 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Thereafter, liquidated damages will be charged. 8. Attention is called to the provisions for equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the specifications under the Davis-Bacon Act must be paid on this project. The HOUSING AUTHORITY reserves the right to reject any or all bids forjust cause.
