The Municipality of the County of Annapolis is nestled in the beautiful Annapolis Valley and borders the dynamic Bay of Fundy. Proud to be 'naturally rooted', the Municipality serves over 18,800 residents and is continually growing and embracing the environment that the rural location has to offer. The Municipality employs 65 full-time staff as well as seasonal staff throughout the various departments. The Municipality is governed by an elected Council consisting of a Warden, Deputy Warden and nine Councillors who represent eleven districts for a four-year term of service. The Municipality provides a full range of government services, including general administration, transportation, economic development, recreation/cultural services, public works, land planning, information technology, and financial accounting and reporting. Bidders must notify the Municipality no later than 4:00 pm on January 30, 2025 to advise of any errors, omissions, or clarification required found in this document. Please direct all inquiries to the staff contact details on the title page. The Municipality reserve the right to suspend or cancel any RFP at any time for any reason without penalty. The Municipality reserve the right to reject all proposals based on the best interest of The Municipality and to waive formality or technicality in any proposal. The Municipality reserve the right to select a proposal other than the lowest priced proposal based on any criteria which in its sole and absolute discretion The Municipality deems to be in its best interest. The successful proponent shall enter into an agreement with The Municipality on March 31, 2025 for a three-year period ending on March 31, 2028. The Municipality may offer to extend the agreement annually for an additional two years. Upon initial evaluation, the Municipality may choose to reduce the scope of the agreement by omitting one location at their sole discretion. Anticipated Award on or Before February 27, 2025 The satisfaction of The Municipality throughout the duration of the contract is paramount and the successful proponent must be committed to providing consistent service. Failure to provide adequate staffing for services for more than three days per quarter may be subject to a financial penalty.
