Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Pompano Beach, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
Runway 6-24 is in fair condition based on the FDOT Airfield Pavement Evaluation Report 2021. In 2027, runway pavements are expected to be in poor condition. This Runway was last rehabilitated in circa 1971. In the past several years, the FAA has designed and published LNAV/RNAV approaches to this runway. The runway does not currently meet design standards for airfield markings. Runway 6-24 rehabilitation is shown in the FAA-approved Airport Master Plan. The project will enhance safety by correcting RSA grades on the approach to Runway 6, which are currently steeper than allowed. As of February 4, 2026, this project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Funding for design is allotted for FY2028 and funding for construction is allotted for FY2030. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
