Site work and new construction of a parking garage in Edinburg, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a parking garage; and for site work for a parking garage.
RFQs received after the deadline will not be considered for the award of the contract and shall be considered void and unacceptable. RFQs will not be accepted by telephone or facsimile machine. All RFQs must bear original signatures and figures. The City of Edinburg reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all RFQ's and to waive any or all formalities or technicalities and to accept the RFQ deemed most advantageous to the City, and hold the RFQ for a period of 90 days without taking action. The City anticipates awarding the Contract to a respondent for the Project following a two-phase procedure. City of Edinburg normal business days are Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and shall be closed on recognized holidays. If you have any questions or require additional information contained in the RFQ, you may contact Criselda Lozano, Purchasing Manager. Please be sure to submit your questions via OpenGov Procurement at the website listed above no later than 5:00 pm on Monday, January 20, 2025. The approximately 256 parking spaces parking garage will provide parking to support several entities and functions in downtown Edinburg. This total includes sixty-three surface parking spaces including handicap spaces on multiple levels. Due to its location, special consideration must be given to vehicular transportation and travel modes, pedestrian patterns, adjacent structures, limited site access, and coordination with other entities such as the City of Edinburg, Hidalgo County, and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The long-term traffic patterns call for a one-way loop around the new courthouse. TxDOT road improvement plan will be provided to the successful best-value contractor. The scope shall include appropriate wayfinding, signage, sufficient lighting for security, vertical access including an elevator (one future elevator shaft), security cameras, and parking technology infrastructure only to support better parking management if so, required in the future.
