Construction of Potable Water Well #4 No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of: A new potable water well, well house, slab, driveway, 1600' of 6" PVC water line, generator, electrical, chemical feed tanks, pumps, and appurtenances. Time allotted for construction is 120 consecutive calendar days All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the City of Ephesus, Georgia, in the amount of 5% of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the City of Ephesus, Georgia. Each bond shall be equal to 100% of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Ephesus, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract. DBE/WBE Contractors are encouraged to bid this project.
