AMI Water Metering System Installation Project The City Has Already Approved a Neptune/ferguson Ami Metering System and Are Looking for Contractors to Install the New Meters and Radio Units. The Meter Reading on Each Meter That is Taken Out Will Also Need to Be Recorded Along With the New Meter Reading for City Records. The Old Meters Will Need to Be Kept for the City as Well. Installs Will Need to Be Able to Be Completed During Normal Working Hours, After Hours, and on Weekends as Needed to Get the Installation Completed. Meters Should Be Bid on Per Unit and Not Per Hour. The Installation Project Will Include Approximately 480 Stand-alone Meters, and Approximately 480 Miu/radios (Wired to Meter) and Installed on the Exterior of the Home or Building. The Start Date Would Be 4/1/2025 With a Three-month Deadline for the Install. The City Would Like the Following to Be Completed: o 3-4 Rounds of Mailers Sent Out to Residents to Assist With Scheduling Times to Get Into Homes for the Install. (Mailers Will Be Approved by City Before Being Sent Out) o the Company to Complete the Water Meter Changeout and Miu/radio Install o Line Survey for Each Resident (Copper, Plastic, Lead, Etc.) o Weekly or Bi-weekly Meeting to Discuss the Project Progress. o Pictures of the Install Process Which Includes: Picture of Old Meter/old Reading Picture of New Meter/new Reading Picture of Water Line Picture of Sump Pump (if Seen) Picture of Water Softener (if Seen) the Contractor Must Show Proof of Liability Insurance and Be a Licensed Plumber. The Contractor Must Also Provide a Complete List of Each Meter Serial Number and Miu/radio Serial Number Per Install Along With the Meter Number of Each That is Taken Out for the City to Have on Record.
