Water Plant No. 1 Improvements Question Deadline 01/24/2025 at 12:00 AM CT The deadline to ask questions is online. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or a bid bond from a surety company holding a permit in the State of Texas for an amount equal to 5% of the amount bid. The amount of said certified or cashier's check or bond will be forfeited to the OWNER and the bank or surety shall be liable to the OWNER for the amount in the event the successful bidder shall fail or refuse to enter into a contract or furnish bonds as hereafter required within ten (10) days after the date of notice of award. If a certified or cashier's check is provided, the successful bidder shall deliver, at the ENGINEERS office (IDS Engineering Group, 13430 Northwest Freeway, Suite 700, Houston, Texas 77040), the original certified or cashier's check within twenty-four (24) hours of the bid opening. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond on the forms provided, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract price from a surety company licensed by the State of Texas. Scope The project includes improvements to water plant No. 1 consisting of a proposed welded steel ground storage tank with a pre-stressed concrete ground storage tank as the alternate bid, a proposed 1000 GPM booster pump, well pump and motor improvements to offsite well No. 3, yard piping, and site grading. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in bidding. In case of lack of clarity in stating prices, the OWNER reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or reject the bid. The work covered by these documents is entitled "WATER PLANT NO. 1 IMPROVEMENTS, Project No. 0204-089-00, Contract No. 1, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS" to be performed for HARRIS COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 130. The location of the water plant is 13590 WESTLAND EAST BOULEVARD, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS 77041 (KEY MAP NO. 408H) . The location of the Remote Water Well is 13853 Westfair East Drive, Harris County, Texas 77041 (Key Map No. 408H) 2. Description of Work: 2.01 CONTRACTOR shall furnish all materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services and all labor and superintendence necessary for construction of the work described herein. The completed work shall not lack any part which can be reasonably implied as necessary for proper and useful operation of the facility. 2.02 The work, in general, consists of the following: A. Furnish and install 500,000 gallons welded steel ground storage tank. B. Furnish and install 1,000 GPM booster pump. C. Remove existing submersible pump and column piping at remote water well No. 3. D. Rehabilitation of existing remote water well No.3. E. Install proposed 450 GPM Submersible pump, motor, and 5-Inch column piping. F. Yard piping. G. Site grading and drainage. H. Testing of constructed facilities. I. Site clean up and restoration.
