Site Address: Balmoral Road City: Rosemont County: Cook State/Province: IL Site Directions: The NSMJAWA Main Pump Station is located on the north side of Balmoral Road on the west side of I-294 and adjacent to the O'Hare TNP Parking Lot No questions will be entertained regarding this assignment after Friday, January 24, 2024. No Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled. The proposed work is officially known as NSMJAWA; THE CONCRETE REMOVAL IN THE GENERATOR ROOM PROJECT. Work includes the following: o Concrete sawcut to a depth of 3" around the removal area, as shown on the plan. o Properly remove and dispose of the raised concrete slab to a depth of approximately equal to 3" below the floor elevation, in accordance with the Plan. o Remove and properly dispose of the perimeter grating and ensure that the concrete below is cleaned and prepared and ready for concrete. o Remove the concrete to the top of the existing #5 rebar mat, in accordance with this Plan and in accordance with the International Building Code 2018 Edition and the current AIA Building codes. The Contractor is responsible to remove the old concrete in conformance with the Site Safety Plan. o Clean and prepare the existing concrete and rebars to properly prepare for the new concrete. Sandblasting may be required. o Supply and place and finish industrial warehouse floor concrete in accordance with this Plan and International Building Code 2018 Edition and the current AIA Building Code. The concrete shall have a minimum strength of 4,500 psi. The concrete will have a maximum aggregate size of 3/4 ". The concrete should include epoxy additive to ensure extra strength and high early strength curing. The Contractor will submit this mix design in conjunction with the shop drawings for review and approval. The Contractor is responsible for placing the concrete in conformance with the Site Safety Plan. o The Contractor will be responsible for concrete quality testing to ensure that it meets the Code. The finish concrete slab will then be sealed in accordance with the International Building Code 2018 Edition and the current AIA Building Code. o Any additional appurtenant work required to make this a well-constructed project, and all required safety measures and clean-up tasks to insure a successful project. o The Contractor will work in a deliberate and safe manner. The safety of the Public, and the NSMJAWA Staff and the Contractor's Employees is the TOP PRIORITY. o The Contractor will work in a neat fashion and ensure a clean work environment. The Contractor will properly clean and dispose of all work debris and neatly store all tools at the end of each workday.
