Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check of the BIDDER payable to the TOWN OF HUNTINGTON in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the TOTAL BID PRICE. Checks or bid bonds will be returned to all except to the three lowest formal bidders within ten (10) days after the formal opening of bids. Questions, requests for information or interpretations concerning the drawings or specifications, or any aspect of the project must be addressed in writing to the DIRECTOR OF PURCHASING, TOWN OF HUNTINGTON, Town Hall, 100 Main Street, Room 209, Huntington, New York 11743, Fax # (631) 351-2833 or email at purchasing@huntingtonny.gov and to be given any consideration, must be received at least five (5) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in, to reject any or all bids submitted, or to accept the bid and award the Contract to the lowest responsible bidder, therefore pursuant to Section 102 of the General Municipal Law.
