Est. Dollar Value: $48,000.00. Bid Description: Benson Village Trust is seeking the services of a qualified project manager to support all aspects of the Benson Village Store project. The Benson Village Store project is an initiative of Benson Village Trust, a community enterprise registered in the State of Vermont, herein called "BVT". BVT aims to promote the social welfare of the residents of the historic village of Benson, Vermont (chartered 1779; population approx. 972). Benson's historic village store was destroyed by a fire in 2018. The town lost its local store and a central place of community vitality and gathering. The store site is located at the center crossroads of the village at 744 Lake Road. BVT has initiated planning, fundraising and pre-development for the construction of a new store building to fulfill the needs of the Benson community. Initial grant funding has been raised through Community Supported Enterprise and Village Trust Initiative grant awards. Pending its 501c3 status, BVT is working with Preservation Trust of Vermont as its fiscal sponsor. The project manager will help BVT manage activities in this current pre-development and design phase, during its upcoming capital campaign, and up through the selection of construction services providers. An option to extend this contract for project management services through the construction phase and to completion of the building will be part of this award. Project Schedule: The selected consultant must be available and willing to complete the required work over the course of the next 12 months, as the project progresses. Work on the project can start after a contract with BVT has been signed, and a W9 and proof of general liability and Workers' Compensation Coverage is provided. The project must be completed by 2/15/2026 The planned start date and duration of work will be a consideration for consultant selection. This contract will include an option to extend for up to an additional 12 months.
